How To Treat Your Coaching Business as Sacred

Let me share the secret to success with you if you don’t know already… you are a creator. 

And you cannot take that lightly. You were put here on this earth to create. You are a change-makers in both professions and in your life.

This is what you are here to do. And as a human, you are the best creator on this planet. 

And as a coach? You have the beautiful and sacred job of nurturing other people’s creations. 

Your literal purpose as a coach is to create a business, products, and services that change people’s lives… literally altering their realities. And it is your Divine right to be able to prosper doing this and create the best and biggest life possible, only limited by your imagination. 

Once you realize that, you can instantly release the stress, fear, perfectionism, and mental blocks related to running and growing your coaching business.  

Release it and let it go. Because you were already created to do this. 

Now.. let’s get to business. As a creator and a coach, what is your most important tool? I’ll give you hint… it’s not something you can touch.

It’s your IDEAS. 

Entrepreneurs are the ultimate creators you know! Pause and look around you. Your desk, bed, coffee mug, house? All of it… started in someone’s head as an idea.

YOUR IDEAS ARE NOT RANDOM THOUGHTS. 

Let that sink in for a minute. Ideas are actually the very first step in Creation. Your coaching business, offers, products, and services are no different. The reason why so many coaches get stuck in a failure cycle… it’s because they don’t treat their ideas as sacred. 

When you see your coaching business as a sacred creation and idea that needs nurturing, a few patterns tend to emerge:

  1. You never launch your life-changing coaching business, program, or offer because you don’t’ know-how and you don’t believe in it.
  2. You get stuck in perfectionism mode, constantly spinning your wheels, stretching out your coaching launches, constantly tweaking every little thing you offer, thinking you need more and more certifications and knowledge.
  3. You get frustrated and quit on your business or coaching program ideas before they even get a chance to come to life, hoping to the next thing, repeating a never-ending cycle of frustration and failure.
  4. You build your own prison, stuck in the execution of your business because you never understood it, consistently getting just enough results, ending up becoming a slave, never growing or stepping into your full potential as a coach.
  5. You never dig deep enough into your coaching business, unable to communicate it’s true value, constantly undercharging, or 
  6. you never get a chance to go BIG and thrive, implement multiple streams, and having true balance in your coaching business

Any of these sound familiar? They should. I’ve been there. Our customers have been there. 

But I’ve got really good news. Once you learn to treat your ideas as sacred – that is how you go BIG and build a THRIVING coaching business. Let’s dig in. 

How to Dream BIG and Build a Thriving Heart-Centered Coaching Business

Step 1: Respect your creator status

We talked about this already, but it’s worth saying again because it’s the most powerful concept that can instantly help you be fearless in your business. You are a creator and you have a dream. Your business is your sacred idea. Respect and honor your business as a sacred idea.

Step 2: Imagine the possibilities

Once you know how sacred your business is, it’s time to imagine all the possibilities. Literally go BIG and ask yourself what is possible. Every offer possible, every marketing opportunity possible, all of it. Imagine it. 

This should be a formal process. Schedule a time and a place and sit down, pull out a whiteboard, invite friends, family, and partners who love and support you, and have a scheduled imagination session. 

Then once you’ve brain dumped everything, choose which 1 to 3 ideas that are viable and brainstorm ways to monetize each one. 

Step 3: Explore all options

Now start researching. Get online and research all aspects of your ideas. What is similar out there? What are they offering? What are they charging? What potential partners are other there?

It’s important you don’t move into exploration until all your ideas are out, otherwise consuming content can influence your sacred ideas. As a creator, your ideas are sacred and can’t be influenced. 

Step 4: Experiment in the marketplace

It’s time to make it happen. Launch the best version of your idea without letting perfectionism stop you. Then start experimenting. But before you start, make sure you define the metric of success. Is it more Brand awareness? More Leads? 

Then start experimenting keeping that metric in mind. For my business, the two metrics that guide our decisions are traffic to my website and paid clients.

If those both go up, we know it’s working. If it goes down, we know something isn’t working. We constantly tweak until we are happy with a consistent increase in those areas. 

IMPORTANT: During this phase, you as the owner and creator need to be very hands-on. This is the creation of your idea. Showtime! 

Step 5: Systematize your creation

This is where most coaches get stuck. They stay in the experiment phase stage never really create a system. You can’t spend your life implementing, you need to get back to coaching and impacting lives. Once you have a valid hypothesis that works, you have to create a system that can repeat that result over and over again. 

Step 6: ReFocus and outsource the busy work

Okay – listen up, especially my lady coaches. You MUST delegate. You CANNOT do it all yourself. You got a system, it’s documented, it works. Now is the time to delegate and get back to what you came here to do! To the reason, you started a business. 

This is the hardest part, it’s the part I have struggled with most, letting go. However, if your vision is big, you have to release it and move on. 

Here’s your permission to go big.

Once you get it right, you just rinse and repeat that over and over again and before you know it you’ll have multiple strategies that work and bring in an abundance for your coaching business, so you can lean into your purpose.
