Meet the New Lovely Impact! Our Business Pivot Story

You know how sometimes we (humans) try a lot of different things in life, only to go back to what we originally planned? That’s the kind of story this is.

It’s the story of us, Cass and Tee.

How we were friends as web designers, and both decided to switch to life coaching at the same time, without realizing that’s what the other was doing. And how one conversation changed everything again.

We’re sharing all the details of our transition. Right here, right now.

Working as Web Designers

We both had our own separate branding and web design businesses, working with clients one-on-one to support their business growth through marketing and design work.

And after we met in 2017, we spent two years supporting and encouraging each other, helping each other with questions or projects, and sending each other clients. We became friends, and competition was not part of the equation.

But behind the scenes, we’d both been introduced to coaching…and had fallen in love.

Cass joined a business coaching mastermind where she discovered that thoughts and limiting beliefs had just as much impact on building a business as hard work did. And it made her realize that her own clients were struggling with the same things she did, and she wanted to help.

Tee became an operations consultant for a personal transformation company and spiritual community. While reorganizing their programs and curriculums, she had an aha moment. She began to realize that the reason why some of her branding clients thrived post-launch and some failed, was directly tied to their beliefs and emotions.

It was the beginning of the end of both of our 1:1 web design businesses.

The Switch to Coaching

Despite talking almost daily, we were unaware that we’d both made the decision to shut down our agencies to help our clients in a new way, simultaneously.

Cass launched Lovely Impact to provide 1:1 and group coaching to help life coaches build their businesses quickly, and Tierra got her coaching certification so she could help life coaches with growth and productivity.

And that’s the work we did, for nearly a year.

We laughed when we finally discovered we’d made the same decisions independently. There had been jokes in the past about us being similar, and this journey just seemed to be an extension of that.

So while we coached our clients, we once again relied on each other for support and advice.

And then we had an interesting call.

The Come To Jesus Moment

Near the end of 2019, we hopped on a call to discuss life and work. And in that conversation, we identified a gap in the market. And a gap in our satisfaction.

While we’d both decided to close down our agencies and take on coaching full time, we also missed the pleasure of building websites. Of watching web clients walk away satisfied with their new online homes.

And we missed the creativity we got to express.

Plus, we realized that there was no dedicated place where life coaches could go to get their website. No companies or entrepreneurs we could refer our clients to with confidence. Because no one had really and truly niched into the life coaching industry.

We were coaches, coaching life coaches, and we knew what good web design and strategic conversion tactics could do for our clients. We knew we could do it really well, and with website templates, be able to serve multiple coaches in a variety of niches.

So we decided to make another shift.

The New Lovely Impact Vision

Tierra came on to Lovely Impact as an equal partner, and the brand transitioned from coaching coaches to providing them with exclusive website templates.

It fit both of our personal missions.

Cass wants to help life coaches get themselves out there quickly, because they can’t focus on coaching clients if they’re spinning trying to build their businesses.

Tee wants to help our audience and customers grow their businesses and implement proven industry strategies in marketing.

We’ve built the re-imagined Lovely Impact to start doing that with website templates our customers can launch in a week. And we have plans to expand from there, drawing on our combined 10+ years of owning successful businesses in multiple industries.

Together we’ve found our true passion in life. Doing what we love while helping our favorite people in the entire world make an impact.
