1: Self-Branded Videos to Showcase Exercise Demos
If you’re a health and fitness coach, one of the best ways to convince clients that you are the real deal and you can help them is to provide visual evidence. A video is one of the most engaging ways to grab new clients and appeal to them, and TrueCoach lets you create and display an exercise video demo that’s perfect for this.
You probably already know how important it is for clients to see and engage with you before signing up, so this demo is an important part of your marketing strategy. TrueCoach makes sure it gets seen.
2: The Ability to Track and Measure Client Data
An effective exercise routine is all about adhering to a routine, and making sure your clients are on track is a big part of coaching them. TrueCoach offers you an easy way to track and assess client data at key milestones, providing you with a 7, 30, and 90-day compliance rating for each client.
This tells you how well they are meeting their assignments and whether they are on track with the agreed-upon routine. It helps to put a measure to their success and will let you know when you need to step in and push them a little harder.
3: Secure Telehealth Messaging Service
If you don’t want client messages scattered all over the place, TrueCoach’s instant and secure messaging service is a big appeal. It stops you from having to chase through a dozen different email accounts and social media platforms just to keep up with your coaching contacts.
You’ll ensure that all your communication is kept in one place, and that you are readily available when a client needs to get in touch with you. You can glance back at old messages, refer to previous commitments, and make life easier for yourself and your clients.
4: A Workout Builder
You can bring your own style to the TrueCoach workout builder, which will allow you to create workout routines for your clients to utilize with a clever, free-form tool. This is very open-ended and won’t restrict your creative process, allowing you to build whatever workouts you have found effective.
This is great for your clients, too; they will get access to standardized materials that they can refer to whenever they need them. It makes you look more professional and prepared, and with the tool, it should take very little time to create resources you can use again and again.
5: Client Management
It’s easy enough to manage your clients when you only have a few, but as your business grows, you might find that it gets more challenging and you have to put more time and energy into it.
Different clients will be at different stages in their fitness journeys and will have different needs. As a health coach, you have to be on the ball about each individual you are working with.
TrueCoach’s client management tools will help you achieve this, making it easy to personalize workout plans, communicate, track progress, and add new clients whenever someone signs up for your program.
6: A Virtual Dashboard
For a quick and easy overview of how everything in your business is going, including how your clients are progressing, TrueCoach’s dashboard is invaluable. It brings together all the stats you might need about your clients so you can plan their future workouts and determine what you need to do with them next.
It also lets you know who you need to follow up with, what your clients felt about their last workout session, and when their programs finish. You will find the compliance rating listed here too so you can see if anyone is falling behind.
7: Custom Theming
There’s a lot of coach management software that’s bad for branding because it imposes the management company’s brand on top of yours. This can make it difficult to present a cohesive, standard aesthetic to your clients.
However, TrueCoach makes a point of letting you incorporate things like your own logo, a customized subdomain, and a color choice into the app so that it looks and feels like your system. This will help your clients to feel immersed in your branding and ensure they are engaged with you.
TrueCoach Pros
#1 Personalized touch
TrueCoach gives you a great deal of personal interaction with your clients, letting them upload videos of their workouts to send to you, so you can offer feedback as a coach.
#2 Mobile-friendly
There is both an app and a browser version, meaning it’s flexible for your clients and they can use whichever suits them.
#3 Streamlined communication
The software also makes it much easier for your clients to interact with you, and consolidates all the communication into one place. So both parties can go back and look at their old ideas and commitments.
TrueCoach Cons
#1 App issues
We did some digging and it does look like TrueCoach has run into some issues with its app not working well. This can cause problems for both clients and coaches that want to use this instead of the browser version. The app can be slow and glitchy, although this issue is likely to be resolved given some time.
#2 No app for Android users
There is currently only an iOS version of the app and no Android version.
#3 Workout features can be ridid
Some coaches find it frustrating that they cannot save individual workouts and then load them into the calendar, and are annoyed that you cannot view current workouts while programming new ones.

Alternative Health Coaching Platforms
If you’re not finding yourself won over by the TrueCoach offering, there are plenty of other options that you can choose from, although this is the most tailored package for health coaches. Keep in mind there will likely be a lot of features a health coach may want that are not offered by other online coaching management systems.
However, you can choose between Paperbell, CoachAccountable, or Delenta, and these will all assist you in administering your business, managing your clients, and keeping on top of things like invoicing and payments. You may then be able to use alternative tools to build workouts and manage video demos for your clients.
Final Thoughts – Review of TrueCoach
So, is TrueCoach the best online health coaching platform? As we outlined in the features overview and our pros and cons list, there are definitely some great features offered by this program.
While it is a popular choice, especially for an online workout coach, it may not the best solution for everyone, such as health professionals who need their software to be HIPAA compliant for their online health coaching program.
We highly recommend that you thoroughly explore your options and try out some of the other coaching platforms we mentioned before making your final decision.
