Hi! We’re Cass and Tee – Professional Web Designers & Developers.

We’re the Co-Founders here at Lovely Impact. We both owned our own separate branding and web design agencies for a combined 15 years. Our clients have been featured on ABC, Fox, Real Simple, Buzzfeed, Self Magazine, and lots more.

As competitors turned business partners, we’ve spent hours at our computers supporting each other as we built custom websites for our clients, managed staff, designed brands, and coached our clients from concept to launch.

We’ve built a ton of health coaching websites, and we’ve learned exactly what works. If your site doesn’t have these key features, you might be losing out on business. To help visualize these tips, we’ll be showing examples from Sylvie, our health coaching website template.

Let’s dive in. Here 5 pro tips we swear buy when building health and wellness coach websites.

Tip #1: Develop consistent & clear branding.

Your health coaching branding is EVERYTHING. Why do you think people choose to do business with one coach over another? It’s not a logo, or a blog, or even the coaching offers. It’s branding. While your brand certainly encompasses all of those things, it’s so much more.

It’s who you are – your values, your ideals, and what you stand for. Health and wellness coach websites needs to reflect their branding in a clear and obvious way (and everything else they do – from social media to business cards – should do the same!).

MOODBOARD Health And Wellness Coach Websites

Coaching Tip: When we created Sylvie, we created the above moodboard that encompassed all of our colors, fonts, and imagery. This step allowed us to double check every page and make sure the branding and colors were not only consistent but beautiful.

Tip #2: Don’t be shy with testimonials.

If someone is on the fence about working with you, a great review from a client or business partner can help you close the deal. In health and wellness, testimonials are literally gold! Just make sure, when possible to include images and or video to really showcase the transformation your clients have been through. Also, they shouldn’t feel like an icky sales pitch. Instead, they should demonstrate how others have benefitted from your coaching program, and help build credibility and trust.

Oh! And testimonials can go anywhere on your website. Drizzle them through like sprinkles on every page that tell a story that you are the best at what you do.

Coaching Tip: If you are just starting out, you may not have testimonials or before and after pictures. There are two ways you can work around that. First, you can use your personal transformation as your story, OR if you are a certified coach, see if your certification provider has program specific testimonials you can borrow.

Tip #3: Tell your visitors what you want them to do.

When it comes to marketing your health coaching business, you need a call to action. A call to action can be anything you want your audience to do, from signing up for your newsletter, to enrolling in your webinar. Every website should have at least one CTA, although it is best practice to have more – conversions, revenue and profit are all directly related to your call to action’s success.

Example Home Page - Health Coaching Website

Coaching Tip: On our Sylvie website template, the first thing you’ll see on the home page is exactly what Sylvie does and a button that says “get started”. Don’t waste any time being super clear and who you are, who you serve, and what your visitor should do next.

Tip #4: Health and wellness coach websites should prioritize mobile first, all day, every day.

Do us a quick favor. Look around you next time you’re out in public – I’m going to guess 90% of the people you see will be actively looking at their cell phones.

When your health coaching site is optimized for mobile, you guarantee that any user, on any device, will have the best experience possible. You don’t want to miss out on a potential client because your site won’t load on someone’s smart phone!

Example Navigation - Health Coaching Website

Coaching Tip: When you need to make important changes to your health coaching website, you never want to rely on a designer. That’s why we love Showit templates. Even if you get it professionally built, YOU can easily make edits to your site on mobile and desktop without code.

Tip #5: Your about page is just as important as your home page.

This may seem unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but a good “about us” page is essential! Many health coaches choose to leave out this “get to know me” page, but it’s so important. It gives a human element to your company, and helps you bond with your audience.

Tell the story of how your business came to be, or share some great anecdotes from your private life, and give people a reason to want to connect with you.

Example About Page - Health Coaching Website

Coaching Tip: Have fun with your about page! This is the page where you want to attract the people you want to work with and turn off the people you don’t want to work with. Show your personality, your likes, dislikes, your journey, etc. Check out the about page on our health coaching template for some inspiration >>

Remember – poorly designed health and wellness coach websites will always do more harm than good. It’s almost as bad as no website at all. Take the time to get yours running properly and looking great so health coaching clients and prospects get the best experience possible. It’s one of the easiest things you can do to ensure your coaching business’ success.
