Branding design for relationship coaches is just like any other type of coach, with the goal being to make your clients feel a certain way when they come in contact with your brand. And when you nail it, your clients will get a hint of what they could feel like if they took the leap and committed to working with you.
Jennifer Ryan is a relationship coach for women who are ready to start dating again after divorce, and that requires a specific combination of emotions in her brand: passion, compassion, comfort, encouragement, adventure, and strength. After getting super clear on Jen’s goals and her dream clients, we narrowed her brand down to three all-encompassing feelings.
The Brand Feelings: Passionate, Strong, Comforting
Creating an emotional impact with visuals is a balancing act, and when we’re talking about branding, it means checking each individual element of the design against the feelings you’re trying to evoke.
The color palette for Jen’s brand relies primarily on the pewter green. Green communicates harmony between mind, body and emotions, and adds a lovely balance and freshness to a color palette. The pewter green, in particular, speaks to strength and comfort.
Her logo is a combination of serif and script fonts — the serif representing strength and elevating the design, the script giving it an edge of passion and energy. Altogether, her logo embodies the emotions of her brand; it’s strong, passionate, and comforting. Can you see it?
Jen’s pattern is a collection of her favorite coaching phrases — thoughts and beliefs she encourages her clients to practice; making it more than just a pattern, and more like subliminal messaging that begins from the first moment someone encounters her brand.
A Well-Loved Brand
We’re so happy we got to work with Jen on her brand, and extremely proud of the final result. Here’s what Jen has to say about her brand:
“My entire brand concept feels so good to me. I love the simplicity of everything and feel like it really captures who I am and who I want to reach. The logo feels perfect to me; super simple and classy. But the pattern is my absolute favorite part of the design. I love it so much! My daughter freaked out over it, too. Thank you!”
